Netherwood Park helps to support the African Christian College and two missionaries, Bheki Mamba and Moses Dlamini, in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) in southern Africa. Bheki graduated from ACC and serves as a minister at the Matsapha Church of Christ . Both Bheki and Moses were instrumental in building the church (circa 2012), shown below, which serves the city of Matsapha and the surrounding area. Moses is now the minister for the Nyanyali Church of Christ. You can read more about our indigenous missionaries below.
Craig Hayes, one of Netherwood Park's elders, and his wife, Missy, recently visited our missionaries and the staff at the African Christian College and gave a presentation about their visit. Bheki Mamba - Matsapha Church of Christ
For over 25 years, Netherwood and the Mamba family have worked together to grow disciples of Christ in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). Bheki and his family have grown the church from just a few floating church goers to a solid foundation of elders and deacons. Bheki continues his work outside the church and at surrounding churches to mentor leaders, council marriage and teach evangelism. Your continued support of the Matsapha and Nyanyali Church of Christ makes a difference.
Bheki and his family have worked with the African Christian College and surrounding churches to build a Christian community in Eswatini and Matsapha. Bheki’s main responsibilities these days are preaching on Sundays and Wednesdays at Matsapha Church of Christ, building lessons, church spiritual guidance and bible studies to shut-ins during the week. Bheki and Edith have four grown children; Wakhile (Family Confirmed), Tibusiso (Blessings from God), ThandoLwenkhosi (Love of God) & Siphosementi (Gift from God). They are active in the church, are starting families of their own, preaching and going to school. Netherwood continues to support the Mamba family and Matsapha Church of Christ in their efforts to grow and spread Christ’s word throughout Eswatini and Southern Africa.
Moses Dlamini - Nyanyali Church of Christ
Moses has been an integral part in growing the Matsapha Church of Christ over the 25+ years Netherwood has supported the growth of the church. In 2022 Moses transitioned to ministering a new church in Nyanyali, about 12 miles away, which was born directly from the evangelism and growth of the Matsapha Church of Christ. Nyanyali Church of Christ is growing and consists mostly of a younger generation in primary or secondary schools. Moses and his wife Sphiwe have three grown children; Zakithi, Nkosingivile and Zethu. They are starting families of their own and working hard in various professions such as accounting, cyber security and health.
Netherwood sends funds monthly to Nyanyali to grow the church building to facilitate Sunday school and a kitchen to feed the community. The funds are also used to establish transportation for the congregation by kumbi or bakkie (vehicle or pickup). Moses prays for the continued growth of both Matsapha and Nyanyali so they can send missionaries out to build other churches. Moses is very thankful for the continued support from Netherwood for the betterment of his own family’s life and the lives of his congregations.
