The Men’s Ministry has put together a Summer Softball team to play in the Men’s City Church League on Monday nights starting April 21 and running Through August 24th. Games are every Monday. Start times are between 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30p on Monday nights. The game lasts one hour. On occasion we would play 2 games in one night. We are guaranteed 16 games and there is an in season tournament that benefits the Christian Student Center at UNM.
Cost for each participant is $115. At least 12 men on the team. 10 people are on the field at a time while on defense. If you’re interested in being a sub but not playing all the time, fill out the survey also.
Minimum age to participate is 16. Ideally we have the parent and child participate together. Men along with their at least 16 year old child of either sex are invited to participate. This is a men’s league but there are several women who play in the league especially in the division we will be playing in so your daughter is welcome.
You do not need to have played before to come and have fun. I know a bunch of people who got their softball start in this league and it is a great time. The only thing you need is a glove, tennis shoes, and a good attitude.
This will be a recreational team looking primarily to have fun and build relationships. Once I have a gauge of who and how many men want to participate that will dictate what division we register in but we will look to have fun in a lower division not to compete for the world series!
If you’re interested please CLICK HERE to fill out the Survey and I will contact you to talk more. If you have any questions, contact Zak Kordelski.
