Walter and his wife Kathy have worshiped at Netherwood since 1982 and he joined the Netherwood staff in 2003 and transitioned into the pulpit minister position in 2014. They have three adult children, a daughter-in-law and three grandsons: Jonathan and his wife Alyssa and their sons, James, David and Harrison Wesley; Zach and Jessica. Walter holds degrees from Abilene Christian University (psychology), University of New Mexico (psychology) and Pepperdine University (ministry). While enjoying all aspects of his ministry, Walter especially relishes opportunities to teach, mentor and work with children. An avid outdoors man, Walter is particularly fond of bow hunting, fly fishing, bicycling and running.
